ECCC is excited to announce the formation of a dedicated corporate
Communications Department, with new Vice President of Communications,
Ferlin Izquist at the helm. In Izquist’s words, the upstart division
is “designed to help us to, kind of, you know, do something, anything
really, because for, you know, whatever, uh, reason, we’re just not
getting, uh, to, uh, you know… to, like, say, uh… stuff.”
Network IT experts explain that as a maiden effort, the department is
experimenting with photonic emitters called “projectors”. “The theory
is that we can use the emitters to cause words and pictures to appear
on walls, ceilings or even floors,” said Phil Einstein, ECCC Managing
Director of Network Systems Theoretical Analysis Research.
Einstein says the Communications Department is trying the system out on
itself before proceeding with network wide implementation. “We’re
putting one in every office of the department, and so far we’re very
pleased with the results. When the machine is on, words suddenly
appear in whatever direction it is pointed. You can turn the unit off
and they disappear just as quickly. It’s like magic.”
