Dateline: Beijing.  The Chinese government, notorious for its tight grip on the flow of information into and out of their country, is finding its routine of control disrupted by the chaos surrounding the Summer Olympic Games.  ECCC is doing all it can to exploit the situation with our own Kurt Johnson (accompanied by an unidentified intern) on the ground to take in the excitement firsthand.  Due to unpredictable internet censorship and filtering, Johnson has had great difficulty filing any reports, let alone live ones, but a package of hand typed manuscripts and images recently arrived at ECCC Headquarters, and we’re proud to present them here in their entirety.  Unfortunately, the letters arrived hidden in banana crates along with produce and have suffered some damage and weathering in transit.
